Our Centre for Excellence in Behaviour Support Training is a dedicated hub for practitioner learning, innovation, and professional development. Training and mentoring are delivered by highly qualified practitioners with extensive clinical expertise.
All training is aligned with the NDIS Behaviour Support Capability Framework. Our graduates are confident, capable, knowledgeable about evidence-based strategies. This enables you to provide safe, ethical, and effective Behaviour Support and implementation training.
Training Focus: NDIS Behaviour Support Capability Framework
You will be paid above award rates while you learn in a friendly supportive team of practitioners.

Our training and supervision are structured around the key domains of the NDIS Behaviour Support Capability Framework, including:

Foundational Knowledge
- Understanding disability rights, inclusive practices, and person-centred approaches.
- In-depth knowledge of the NDIS, including legal and ethical responsibilities.
- Cultural responsiveness, including trauma-informed care and respectful engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally diverse communities.
Assessment and Functional Behaviour Analysis (FBA)
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the function of behaviours of concern.
- Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to guide intervention.
- Collaborating closely with individuals, families, carers, and support networks.


Developing Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs)
- Designing individualised, evidence-informed Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs).
- Incorporating proactive and skill-building strategies.
- Where necessary, including the safe and authorised use of restrictive practices, developed in collaboration with the person and their support team.
Implementing Behaviour Support
- Coaching support teams to implement strategies with consistency and fidelity.
- Ensuring support is person-centred and empowering.
- Fostering environments that promote wellbeing and reduce behaviours of concern.


Monitoring and Reviewing Support
- Ongoing review and refinement of Behaviour Support Plans in response to data, progress, and changing needs.

Quality, Safeguards, and Ethical Practice
- Upholding the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct.
- Promoting the rights, dignity, and autonomy of people with disability.
- Ensuring restrictive practices are only used as a last resort, with appropriate authorisation, oversight, and reduction strategies in place.
